Newborn - Crying

Crying is one of the main ways that newborn babies communicate with us. Your baby's cries may mean many things, including hunger, a dirty diaper, being tired, or a desire to be held. You need not be afraid of spoiling your newborn by holding the baby or responding quickly to the baby's cries in the early newborn/infant period. Occasionally, you may find that after attending to all your baby's needs, your baby will still scream and cry angrily with no apparent reason. Many babies have this "fussy" periods in the afternoon or early evening for the first few weeks of like and this is normal. This crying pattern will not last forever!
